Open Arms Home Care is currently looking for experienced HHA\PCA- a home care aide is responsible for providing services to clients at homeneeding care and assistance during the day and/or night under the direction ofOpen Arms Home Care policies, protocols and procedures.
*Shifts may vary, PRN shifts available currently. Full time and Part time shifts vary case by case.*
Essential Job Functions:
- Assistsclients with personal hygiene, physical comfort, nutritional needs, andhousehold activities to ensure a safe and clean environment.
- Communicateseffectively and efficiently with the client, family, and/or caregiverregarding client's needs and the services provided.
- Utilizestechniques of positioning, body mechanics and body alignment.
- Understandsrationale and principles related to maintenance of skin integrity and needfor infection control.
- Ensuresclient's rights, including confidentiality of care.
- Conductsservices in a caring, professional and ethical manner at all times.
- Assistswith performance of procedures to ensure the physical well-being andcomfort of the client.
- Respondsappropriately to emergencies.
- Participateswith office schedulers and the Open Arms Home Care coordinator in a planfor client services and scheduled home visits.
- Submitslegible, timely and accurate documentation for billing and payrollpurposes.
- Ableto work independently including prioritizing schedule of visits withminimum supervision.
- Mustbe able to work weekend requirements and variable shifts as needed.
- Mustbe dependable and able to report to assignments on time.
- Communicatesin a timely manner with office staff regarding delayed arrivals orabsences from assignments.
- Maintainsa positive, respectful and professional attitude.
- Participatesin process to maintain internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Performsall tasks according to policies regarding Infection Control and UniversalPrecautions.
- Performsother duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Requirements:
- Minimumage of 18 years required.
- Goodverbal, written and reading skills in English.
- Beable to drive yourself to and from your assignments.
- Previousexperience applicable to position
- Bilingual:English\Spanish a plus
Education:
- HighSchool Diploma or equivalent
