Maintain all sanitation standards established by the campus.
Responsbilities:
- Pick up debris, empty trash cans, remove spills in a prompt manner, dust racks, doors, lights, etc.
- Sweep and mop slots, clean restrooms, break-rooms and offices in assigned areas.
- Clean sanitation equipment, which includes sanitation boxes and mops
- Record all damaged product on a damage control sheet.
- Sweep and scrub floors, as well as outside areas to help ensure the safety, proper sanitation and efficiency of the distribution center
- Maintain equipment daily; topping off fluids, cleaning out brushes and washing equipment
- Record and report all damaged product properly
- Follow good sanitation practices; keep work area clean and free of debris
- Report equipment and pallet jack problems to maintenance
- Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting their work group or distribution center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs
- Ensure compliance with company standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity.
- Understanding of Food Safety handling techniques, practices and expectations for the work environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilitites: - Reach, stoop, bend and lift up to and including 60 lbs.
- Stand for long periods of time
- Work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e. cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered
- industrial trucks)
- Meet production standards set by the company
- Excellent customer service, communication, verbal and written skills
- Read and understand written and numeric product identifiers
- Must be able to work needed schedule to perform assigned duties
- Proficient use of computer for data entry and research purposes
- Highly motivated, self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple task in a fast-paced environment
- High School Education
- Certified on a powered industrial equipment where applicable
- Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment
