Creative Marketing Agency Seeks Senior Designer

BBR seeks a passionate and motivated Senior Designer to join our growing team. As a Senior Designer, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced creative agency professionals on a variety of projects, gaining valuable hands-on experience concepting big ideas driven by smart strategy.
Reporting to the Creative Director, you will be working with and helping shape the creative team of writers and designers. You know, creatives, people like you. Day-to-day, you'll support the team in distilling the essence of our clients brand personalities into visual communications that connect with our clients customers in other words, telling great stories that our clients customers want to see and hear.
The Ideal Candidate
As a Senior Designer within the BBR Creative team, you'll work closely with the Creative Director and creative team to:
- You will be an amazing conceptual thinker. You thrive in a role where you transform strategic insights into beautiful and smart design concepts for brand campaigns.
- You have a love for type, form, color and imagery with a deep understanding of design fundamentals.
- You obsess about typography, imagery, the interplay between words and pictures, and how all of this tells a story appropriate to the brand.
- You possess the confidence to communicate ideas clearly and confidently.
- You have a great attitude that embraces collaboration in an open-minded team environment.
- You will translate the ask of the creative brief into actionable creative concepts that solve our clients challenges.
Job Responsibilities:
- You'll craft visual design that gets people to feel AND do something.
- You will participate in brainstorming sessions as part of our Creative process to uncover BIG ideas we didn't even know were there.
- You will distill the essence of a client's brand personality into visual communications that connect with viewers.
- You will develop marketing communications, including printed collateral, packaging, email, signage and wayfinding, with stellar execution backed by strong attention to detail.
- You'll collaborate with other creatives and team members to ensure the coherence of the customer's journey.
- You will contribute both strategically and in the actual execution of work. You will also help educate internal teams on the importance of brand strategy to ensure consistency across all platforms.
- You will translate the ask of the creative brief into actionable creative concepts that solve our client s challenges.
- You will deliver solutions that meet deadlines promptly.
- You will be comfortable in leading creative presentations and communicating creative solutions.
- You will work closely with outside agency collaborators and vendors.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of creative agency and/or in-house experience.
- 2+ years designing brand and marketing campaigns.
- You're an expert in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
- Candidates must be available to work full-time, approximately 40 hours per week.
- This position will ideally be based in Baton Rouge, LA or Lafayette, LA but we are open to remote working. Candidates should expect to travel to the offices or surrounding client locations approximately 1-2 times per month.
- You have an online portfolio demonstrating strong conceptual thinking and a variety of projects, as well as an understanding of design principles.
- You re familiar with and thrive in fast-paced, tech-driven creative environments.
