The Marketing/Proposal Manager implements and leads marketing initiatives, including specific market and regional support, client research, proposal and qualification development, management, industry thought leadership, and channel support. This leader will support the implementation of the company growth strategies, including market positioning, company growth, services positioning, and company culture.


In this role, you ll prepare high-impact proposals and marketing collateral that highlight our depth of experience, expertise, and creativity. You ll partner with our RVi leaders to support the achievement of national and regional operational objectives through the creation of a marketing plan, which will support individual business plans amongst the teams. Additionally, this role will support the identification of market opportunities, implementing RVi s strategic plan and the measurement of marketing metrics.


Core Role Functions

Prioritize and allocate staff resources among projects and coordinate administration for the marketing team

  • Partner with operations to drive strategy around key clients, developing clients, market expansions, and other growth opportunities through proposals, positioning, cross-selling, and revenue generation
  • Support strategic business initiatives and provide business development funnel support from opportunity identification through conversion/win
  • Work with operations lead to advise, develop, and execute proposal capture plans that include research needs, action items for positioning, value propositions, strategic teaming, and schedule with milestones for all phases of the proposal process (pre-work; development; finalization; debrief)
  • Lead go/no go decisions, kick-off meetings, and marketing QA/QC for proposal reviews
  • Be a brand advocate for RVi. Define and maintain company identity, brand strategies, and brand standards
  • Support business development efforts, including RVi positioning, collateral development and production, client development plans, and business plan development support
  • Leadership channel support services for specified markets, including market and trend analysis, collateral design/production/maintenance, execution standards, proposal development, SOQ s, presentations, and market research
  • Support event planning (market-specific and corporate events, conferences, and sponsorship)
  • Work with leadership to develop annual marketing plans
  • Support storytelling for client/market positioning, conversion, and brand reputation; focusing on thought leaders, existing and developing clients, and market trends


Core Leadership Functions

  • Plan, execute, and direct project assignments
  • Develop and manage RVi Marketing Specialists, including proposal support, operational coordination, and planning.
  • Support the establishment of Marketing goals by collaborating with the Director of Marketing, RVi Vice Presidents, and Directors
  • Ensure team performance
  • Supervise, coach, counsel, and mentor team members
  • Plan and monitor team results
  • Ensure all marketing efforts reach the level of quality and company reputation consistent with the Marketing strategic plan
  • Share information and encourage dialogue within RVi offices, project teams, across market sectors, and throughout the company
  • Attend educational workshops and establish professional networks


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience developing SOQs and responses to detailed requests for proposals (RFPs)
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign experience required), and/or other desktop publishing programs. Experience with web-based interfaces is preferred, but not required
  • Strong graphic design and layout skills
  • Ability to successfully balance conflicting priorities and thrive in a deadline-driven environment


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in marketing, communication and/or journalism, engineering, survey, or related field
  • 10+ years of prior experience in professional services proposal/qualification generation; experience within A/E/C arena strongly preferred
