NYBG Job Description Title. Reports to. Interpretive Specialist Director of Exhibition Content & Intrepretation Position Summary:The Interpretive Specialist oversees execution of portions of the interpretive program including signage for special exhibitions and permanent collections, audio tours, mobile experiences, educational videos, and other interpretive projects as needed. Together with the Director of Exhibition Content & Interpretation, the Interpretive Specialist facilitates interpretive planning. The Interpretive Specialist also participates in staff and tour guide training for special exhibitions, collections, and digital experiences, and participates in evaluation of all interpretation initiatives. Additionally, this position supports, through actions and conduct, NYBGs Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility initiatives and helps to build and maintain an inclusive organization culture throughout the institution.
