The position of Purchasing Specialist is accountable for ensuring timely material receipts in order to meet production demands and budget for Holtec Manufacturing Division's projects. This position is accountable in ensuring that required orders are placed with, and confirmed by suppliers, procures goods and services which meet the requirement of terms, conditions, quality, and schedule, while controlling price through negotiation. Essential Job Functions:Actively engages with production, project management, and other Holtec staff to provide a high level of responsiveness and communication of purchasing activity. Utilizes a methodical, project-managed of process to ensure specifications and requirements are sufficiently defined, potential providers are identified, request for proposal are submitted and responses are evaluated to award business.
