This is a great opportunity to be part of the team that welcomes the community's first residents.As the Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and housekeeping duties in and around the community grounds as assigned. Responsible for assisting with maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable environment for the residents, guests and team members.The responsibilities, characteristics, and skillsets below are just a glimpse into the role, and we hope you'll apply to learn more if you believe you're a great fit! General day to day responsibilities will include---Performing routine maintenance duties to complete all service requests for repair and maintenance of all grounds, buildings, apartment homes, equipment and vehicles in a timely and cost-efficient manner.Routine maintenance duties may include: fixing wall and/or floor coverings; repairing furniture and fixtures; performing basic plumbing work; performing minor electrical repairs; repairing appliances; painting and refurbishing projects.Assisting in the execution of the preventative maintenance program.Assisting with working on heating and air conditioning systems, domestic water systems and pumps, refrigeration systems, motors, fans, electrical systems and emergency generators.Performing carpet and hard surface floor maintenance.Performing deep cleaning and resident suite 'make ready' rooms as assigned.Assisting with housekeeping functions as needed.Communicating with the Director for needed technical advice, product information, research and quality assurance guidance.Advising the Director on the overall condition of the equipment and furnishings of the community. Maintaining all tools and repair parts.Other duties as assigned. The right candidate should be a professional who can respond promptly to residents' needs and interact with guests, residents and staff in a courteous and friendly manner. This position may require the candidate to work independently.While we support continued learning and enrichment, and celebrate a culture that encourages learning new skills, there are base level requirements for this position that include but are not limited to:High School diploma or GED.Technical school education preferred.One (1) year maintenance and/or housekeeping experience preferred.Must have basic technical knowledge (such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and code compliance) and mechanical ability to perform routine maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical equipment and possess a basic knowledge of construction principles.Must possess a general understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations.The Perks of Working with UsCompetitive pay plus comprehensive benefits (available day one of your first full month of employment)Generous PTO package, including your birthday as a paid holiday!
