Summary: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
The Maintenance Technician Position is responsible for performing ongoing equipment and facility maintenance, monitoring and adjusting bath chemistries, and completing equipment repairs. This is a critical support position for an ISO9001 registered company providing metal finishing services for a broad range of manufacturing sectors in the greater northeastern US.
Responsibilities include:
1. Maintaining Equipment: Diagnose and maintain operational equipment status through use of the ISO9001 system, Perform work orders as needed.
2. Maintaining Process Chemistries: Taking and recording critical processing parameters and adjusting as needed to ensure proper cleaning and coating.
3. Fixing Machinery: Repairing various machinery, conveyors, and fork lifts, to include pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Also various coating equipment ensuring it operates efficiently. Perform emergency repairs as needed, overtime required as necessary.
4. Plumbing and Heating: Addressing broken or leaking plumbing to prevent water damage and restore water fixtures. Maintaining heating systems.
5. Electrical Systems: high voltage 480V cabinets, motors, pumps and low voltage 110V. Working knowledge of PLC"s a plus.
6. Housekeeping: Maintain a safe and clean work location, tools, and a clean up after repairs.
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of machinery, process chemistry, plumbing, electrical systems, and safety standards. Experience with lab equipment a plus.
Proven experience with power tools. Welding a plus.
Critical thinking approach to problem solving.
Technical education, training, and certificates a plus.
A driver"s license is a plus

Requirements:
-Previous related experience or technical school degree with emphasis on mechanical and basic electrical components.
-5 yrs exp. in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of automated metal working, assembly and packaging equipment.
-Shift starting times from 5AM to 10PM depending on vacation schedule and personnel requirements (second shift with 15% premium)
