Strategic Buyer - ( 21001671 ) **Description**
Kawneer North America offers architectural aluminum building products and systems for the commercial construction industry. We provide customers with a comprehensive product portfolio that includes entrances, framing systems, windows and curtain wall systems. The Strategic Buyer uses technical skills and knowledge to do the following:
**Primary Responsibilities:**
* Strategic Buyer executes on relevant Procurement strategies and measures activities in close cooperation with the Procurement Manager.
* The overall goal is to achieve the best total cost position for all external spend of the Kawneer Cranberry plant, the lowest sourcing risks, best supplier performances and ensuring highest efficiency and effectiveness of the Procurement team.
* This role ensures the optimal collaboration of plant Procurement with BU Procurement Engineering as well as with Global Category Management and Regional Procurement to achieve best procurement results.
* Executes on savings initiatives and initiates counter measures if necessary
* Communicates Supplier issues
* Participates in supplier meetings
* Responsible for all crib stock ordering and coordination with Production Control
**Qualifications**
**Basic Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
* Minimum of 1 year of experience in Engineering, Procurement, Finance, or Supply Chain.
* Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
