Survey Project Manager

Summary

The Survey Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of surveying projects, from planning and execution to completion and delivery. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and exceptional project management skills to ensure the successful delivery of surveying services to our clients.

Job Responsibilities

- Manage and lead surveying projects from initiation to completion, including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation

- Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data, perform boundary analysis, and ensure accurate measurements and documentation

- Extensive knowledge of standard practices for land surveying. Individually able to carry out complex or novel assignments requiring the development and implementation of new or improved techniques or procedures

- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project status, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction with surveying services delivered

- Continuously assess project performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to optimize project outcomes and client satisfaction

Job Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in surveying, civil engineering, or related field

- New York/New Jersey Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification required

- Must be willing to travel to project sites in New York

- 5+ years of experience in surveying and project management, preferably in a civil engineering or consulting firm

- Proficiency in surveying software and technology, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS software

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage project teams and collaborate with clients and stakeholders

- Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing surveying practices in New York
