About Us:
The Woodlands at Canterfield, a brand-new Assisted Living and Memory Support community located in West Dundee, Illinois is looking for a dynamic Cook to provide nutritious high quality food to support a truly great dining experience.
About your new role:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares food daily as outlined on menus utilizing standardized recipes
- Alters or adapts recipes to accommodate special dietary needs
- Ensures proper plate presentation and garnish food in an attractive way
- Coordinates and participates in working the service line during meal times
- Monitors portion control
- Ensures work areas are clean and adhere to all sanitation guidelines
- Ensures all food items are properly stored and labeled and dated
- Build positive relationships with residents, associates and co-workers
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
- Residential/Commercial Cooking experience required.
- Food Handlers Certificate required.
- Energetic, professional with exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication & customer service skills.
- Detailed oriented.
- Team player.
- Compassionate and understanding of eldercare.
