Project Manager/Scrum Master

Job Description:

  • The Payment Solutions team is looking for an experienced Scrum Master Project Manager with strong Business Analyst skills to work closely with Product Owner and Application Owner to analyze, define and implement solutions to meet business needs / objectives.
  • The Scrum Master Project Manager serves as the Scrum Master for the Development Team and is responsible for leading and managing Agile/Scrum Development Teams.
  • Leads projects, analysis and implementation throughout the SDLC (Systems Development Lifecycle) by partnering with both the business and technology channels.
  • This hands-on business analysis position leverages both financial knowledge and technical skills, and requires exceptional analytical, conceptual, communication and problem solving skills.

  • Lead and manage Agile/Scrum Development Teams
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and meetings.
  • Establish agile and engineering best practices
  • Monitor, report and follow-up on the status and next steps of all project components.
  • Effectively identify, adjust for and communicate downstream impacts of project changes.
  • Able to navigate project changes effectively, remove barriers and coordinate with a variety of cross-functional project team members.
  • Plan, facilitate, and coordinate team activities and releases
  • Effectively apply the client's IT Project methodology and enforce project standards.
  • Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately in order to validate that the system solution meets the business need.
  • Help decompose epics and stories. This includes eliciting, analyzing and documenting business rules, acceptance criteria and facilitating brainstorming sessions, contrasting multiple approaches, making recommendations and leading implementation and resolution.
  • Take deep analytical dives on data / requirements / impact while being able to distill, summarize and communicate findings at an executive level
  • Troubleshoot production and test issues, perform root cause analysis, reconciliations, recommend corrective action and lead the resolution efforts
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree with emphasis in related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3+ years of technology project/program management.
  • Experience with running Agile and/or Scrum teams with minimal supervision
  • Experience with building and delivering technical systems and solutions (Tablet, Mobile App, and HTML5 preferred).
  • Ability to lead, motivate and direct a cross-functional workgroup while being flexible in a changing environment.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in confidential matters.
  • Experience managing all phases of the project life cycle, including creat-inge Sprints plans, facilitating various Sprint related meetings; Daily Stand Ups, Sprint Retrospective, Sprint Planning, etc.
  • Knowledge of different project management software, and be technically competent with various software programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
  • Experience with all phases of software delivery
  • Provide consistent and comprehensive status reports, project updates, and ongoing cost analyses, significant issue management, and communication with business lines and technology management levels.
  • Excellent analytical skills. Candidate must have developed analytical, conceptual, quantitative and problem-solving skills. Position requires the ability to quickly trouble shoot issues and think outside of the box. Must enjoy solving complex problems and implementing creative solutions in a changing and dynamic financial and systems environment
  • Ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies and systems
  • Strong customer service focus and sense of urgency
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of credit card processing integration and merchant services development (preferably First Data and TSYS)
  • Knowledge of Web/Mobile technologies and web/mobile application development
  • Solid understanding of digital payments solutions
  • Experience with JIRA / PPM
  • Solid understanding of vendor hosted payment solutions
  • PMP and CSM certifications a plus
