Job Description

The role of the Parts Order Clerk is to receive efficiently, put inventory away, work reports, email vendors, answer phones, and distribute parts for merchandise carried by AFW. The Parts Order Clerk is also responsible for pulling pieces for Customers, Repair Technicians, Service Technicians, Department Managers, and other AFW facilities that request merchandise.

$18/hour & up DOE!

Job Requirements

  • Basic computer knowledge, typing, and ten keys required.
  • Ability to operate a radio frequency (RF) scanner.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and outlook.
  • Customer service oriented
  • Able to communicate via phone, email, and web ex to over 100 vendors and other departments.
  • Multi-task, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Help other departments, work as a team and independently of direct supervision
  • Storis, Salesforce, and dispatch track knowledge preferred but not required.
  • Work in a team environment
Job Expectations:
  • Commitment to AFW's safety policies and procedures and ability to promote awareness.
  • Mix of office and warehouse work, shirts provided by AFW. Handle boxes will get dirty.
  • Able to communicate and work with Buyers, In-house Reps, and Outside Reps. Professional and hospitality-based department, willingness to help others.
  • Accurately match packing list to vendor labels. Willingness to learn furniture and the parts associated with them.
  • Ability to multitask, be organized, stay on track, and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Pull, pack, and ship parts.
  • Unpack, inspect, label, and put away parts.
  • Able to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Ability to efficiently work as a team member and independently of direct supervision.
  • Able to have a flexible schedule and work all shifts, holidays, and weekends.
  • Work as a team member by interacting and communicating with fellow associates in a cooperative, constructive professional manner.
  • All training provided by AFW
Physical Requirements:
  • Requires the ability to maneuver in confined and, at times, congested areas
  • Requires manual dexterity, the ability to sit for long periods, grip, bend, stoop, twist, walk, reach, use a box knife, and use a ladder/step stool for a minimum of 8 hours daily.
  • Requires continual use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back.
  • Requires the ability to lift, lower, push and pull, and operate a hand truck with all sizes of boxes and merchandise up to 100 lbs with assistance
  • Requires the ability to push/pull up to 250 lbs. of force to maneuver merchandise for parts verification. With assistance

  • Considerable exterior noise
  • Extreme temperature fluctuations in the warehouse

Pay Grade C: $17.71-$32.89

You'll need to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check upon the job offer.
