Barnes Aerospace Warren has a challenging and rewarding career opportunity for a Plant Controller. The ideal candidate will partner with site leaders to implement processes to grow the business and drive cost reduction. As an integral member of the site s finance team, you will work directly with the Finance Leader to improve the reliability of financial data and ensure a strong internal control environment in compliance with SOX 404. You will work with the Finance Leader to provide supervision of the site s accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting. Core Responsibilities:

Assists the Finance Leader with accounting processes including all general ledger journal entries, reconciliations, monthly financial statement preparation and transmission to the Barnes Group Corporate Office.

Responsible for the development and monthly monitoring of controllable expense analyses to help drive cost reduction.

Responsible for all aspects of internal & external audits, as well as corporate finance reviews. Coordinates all data requests between departments & shared services to support timely delivery of audit requests.

Support annual physical inventory and cycle counting requirements.

Responsible for the accounting of Property, Plant, Equipment, and Tooling.

Assist in preparing and tracking Capital Asset Requisition Request (CAAR).

Coordinates the site processing of accounts payable with shared services including new vendor setup and periodic VMF reviews.

Coordinate the site review and processing of accounts receivables and work with shared services/contracts to help ensure timely collection of cash from customers.

Prepares periodic rebate and commission calculations, as well as, state and local tax filings.

Performs various financial analyses and ad hoc projects as requested from Operations, Aerospace HQ, and Corporate management.

Assists in reviewing/approving payrolls.

Provide support to ensure control environment is in place and operating effectively.


Qualifications:

5+ years of related financial experience in public or private accounting.

Demonstrated ability to help drive change within an organization

Demonstrated progressive career development with increasing responsibilities, with emphasis on manufacturing.

Strong cost accounting knowledge and experience.

Ability to identify, assemble and lead necessary employee teams in cost improvement initiatives, finance or system projects.

Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.

Excellent computer skills including ERP system experience and very strong Excel skills.


Education Requirements:

Bachelor s degree required in accounting. CPA or CMA desired.
