Direct Purchasing Analyst


Job Details

Raw Material Purchaser Procurement for Cell/Module:

Source the required materials based on Bill Of Material (BOM )for battery cell and modules from the designated suppliers not only in the US but globally
Develop annual and mid-long term demand plans, procurement volume aligned with marketing plan.
Manage global SCM management; conduct sourcing plan including materials inventory, quantities and delivery dates in conjunction with factory plan
Monitor suppliers to ensure on time deliveries to support manufacturing, materials within quality standard specifications, costs and discrepant materials are swiftly reconciled
Define and monitor 4M changes and manage the development schedule and the procurement
Manage supplier risk by ensuring continuity business plans are in place for potential unpreventable interruption to the supply chain
Manage and report procurement performance, objective plan vs. performance monitoring, status of savings, implementation plan
Mange and report procurement risk related costs, deliveries and inventory issue
Prepare & distribute & review & assess RFQ/RFP to and from the qualified suppliers
Finalize contracts, terms and conditions, register supplier on purchasing system
Issue POs, verify invoices and perform Monthly closing Management
Support the optimization of core Purchasing processes and systems
Ensure all vendors have received and agreed to comply with our Ethical Sourcing policies.
General Requirements and Capabilities
Communicate with internal/external customers and cross functional teams to ensure assignments, objectives, cost savings and deliverables are on target
Demonstrated ability to report to work on a regular and consistent basis; and follow company policies and procedures
Get reports on key procurement/deliveries/results on a weekly basis
Responsible for achieving, monitoring, and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Confer with other staffs to coordinate activities in related departments
Collect and voice opinions when the revision and/or establishment of new work procedures are needed
Perform other job-related duties as assigned and report to Purchasing Lead or Purchasing Manager
Stay up to date on industry trends and supply base
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree
Strong responsibility, communications, interpersonal, leadership and computer skills
Strong analytical, problem solving, and organization skills
Effective self-starter with multi-tasking experience
Ability to guide and influence at all levels
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Bi-lingual (English and Korean) is preferred but not required.
2+ years of purchasing/procurement experience (experienced applicants)
Experience in automotive/chemical/EV-related/production equipment industry
Experience in data/market/indicator analysis and demand forecasting
Experience in purchasing in a manufacturing environment
Experience in developing automotive parts and managing procurement as a buyer or SQE
