Job Type: Full Time/Direct Hire Job Description:

The Web Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining the companys various web assets, franchise websites, and any other site accounts under the companys responsibility. This entails the development of new websites, pages, features, maintenance, and updates to their API, websites, various third-party applications, hosting accounts and domains, and strategic analysis of performance.

The Web Developer may produce web applications themselves or work within a team to facilitate their creation and implementation. In addition to the above responsibilities, this person will be asked to assist the marketing team with broader initiatives such as communications, deployment of multi-platform campaigns, and any other needs as they arise.

The Web Developer reports to the Web Development Manager and is exposed to members of the organization representing technical, business development, marketing, philanthropic, and executive departments, so strong communication skills and a team-centric philosophy are integral to success.

Job Requirements:

Bachelors degree in a related field and 1-3 years of experience in web development, or equivalent experience with a proven portfolio of work

Knowledge of HTML, CSS, SCSS, Webpack, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, and MySQL

Experience with Laravel ecosystem, Livewire, Swagger, REST APIs, and practical experience with database schemas and query optimization

Basic understanding of CMS systems such as Backpack for Laravel, Drupal, WordPress, Concrete5, and/or Craft CMS

Working knowledge of Git

Knowledge of SEO best practices and schema markups

Proven record of accomplishment in project development

Ability to manage multiple projects in a results-oriented environment

Exceptional attention to detail and self-motivation

Capacity to organize and manage time independently

Familiarity with information security, CI/CD, Tailwind CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (preferably Vue.js) is a plus

Job Responsibilities:

Design and develop web pages, applications, and other assets by brand initiatives.

Recommend and implement improvements to web strategy and compare the pros and cons of various options.

Implement ongoing search engine optimization for all hosted sites.

Assist in onboarding franchise websites.

Perform site updates and add new features for franchises.

Assist with domain acquisition and maintenance, ensuring uninterrupted site performance.

Contribute to team meetings; collaborate with and support various departments.

Stay abreast of industry trends and technology.
