Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry! We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 50 labs throughout the country. We are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Heumann Dental in Topeka, KS for a Full Time Distribution Specialist.
The regular hours for this position are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Drive delivery vehicle to customer locations to pick up case materials and deliver finished products
- Communicate with personnel at customer locations in a courteous manner
- Load delivery vehicle with finished products scheduled for the day's deliveries
- Receive pick-up and delivery assignments from supervisor and plan most efficient route considering customer service priorities
- Use communication device to report progress on deliveries to supervisor
- Consult with supervisor about any unusual delivery problems
- Maintain records of deliveries and delivery vehicle mileage
- Fill delivery vehicle with gas when low on fuel
- Follow maintenance schedule to have delivery vehicle serviced
- Report any mechanical problems to supervisor
- May assist with packaging finished product for its delivery to customers
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS/EQUIPMENT USED:- Drives in a variety of traffic and weather conditions, subject to inclement weather
- Requires sitting for long periods of time
- General office conditions with limited exposure to dental laboratory operations
- Uses a company-provided delivery vehicle
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:- Valid and current driver's license and a driving record (MVR) that complies with Company policies
- Excellent driving skills
- Ability to use a street map or directional device and plot delivery route
- Ability to maintain simple logs and records
- Ability to lift up to ten pounds, and occasionally heavier, and climb up and down stairways
- Basic knowledge of auto care
- Dependability to carry out a series of work instructions with limited supervision
- Requires adequate social skills, good grooming and a neat and clean attire
