Job Description
Position Overview:
This position focuses on becoming skilled at packing finished products and performing general job duties in blow molding, injection molding, and warehouse. This position performs fundamental work using existing procedures. Operational training will be provided. This position requires strong prioritizing skills and the ability to multitask.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Packing of finished product including bottles and preforms.
- Inspect containers, concentrating on visual defects.
- Operate compactor, forklifts, and cranes.
- Perform general housekeeping duties.
- Assists in other areas (e.g., blow molding, injection molding, and warehouse).
- Requires safety consciousness, accuracy, integrity, interpersonal understanding, teamwork and cooperation, achievement orientation, listening, understanding, and responding.
Business Knowledge - Knows own job function and gaining internal knowledge of the business.
Analytical Skills: - Thinks within procedures and specific precedents rather than specific instructions.
- Organizes daily activities and sets priorities to meet customer timelines.
- Unplanned challenges; solutions found quickly based on job related knowledge and/or experience.
Customer Focus: - Develop working relationships with development engineers, blow mold technicians, injection technicians, and warehouse personnel.
Projects: - Assists with project execution under close supervision.
Budget Role Communication Skills - Tact and effectiveness in dealing with others in everyday working relationships, including contacts to request or provide information.
Decision Making - Carries out detailed instructions for several tasks.
- Prior permission required before changing the methods or steps used in position's work.
- Guidance and instruction always available.
- Guided by checklists and documented tasks. Works under immediate supervision.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree Include Desired Major. NOTE: Bachelor's Degree not required; not able to edit or remove this line
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year of experience in manufacturing
- High energy level with the capacity for learning and learning quickly
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally throughout the organization (i.e., with Injection molding, warehousing, and ALS)
- Strong communications skills (written, spoken, presentation, listening)
- Ability to become certified operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
