Role SnapshotOur Solutions Architect will help define and coordinate architecture decisions and direction of legacy and modernization efforts at WPS within our Government Health Administration (GHA) line of business focused on the Medicare Program. Will be accountable for driving, producing, and reviewing architecture artifacts that include current/future state business and technology multi-layered software architectures . This Solutions Architect will also create and maintain reference architecture and patterns that will be used to guide projects. We are also looking for this role to help drive new and future innovations within a complex environment, where some tools and processes reside on premises at WPS while others must integrate within US Government-owned platforms and AWS instances. To be successful, this Architect will be a thought leader and influencer, excited to provide the needed technology vision to enable business strategy success.Understand business application portfolios, processes, and priorities, and use this information to design complex enterprise systems architectures and solutions.Apply technical knowledge and business insights to create and maintain architecture roadmaps and assist in breaking down items for tactical execution.Maintain technical trends, skills, and knowledge of technology capabilities; share these with the internal technical community.Create and maintain architectural information that is used to accomplish a business-aligned IT strategy.Coordinate Proof-of-Concept implementations to infuse key new technologies as appropriate.Develop and maintain various systems of records in use within the Medicare team along with key functions served to business through these systems.In partnership with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, (CMS), lead the WPS Medicare participation within the CMS modernization work effort.Collaborate with Medicare business teams to learn how the business uses technology to perform functions and bring that knowledge to CMS modernization streams.Help WPS and CMS prioritize integrations and projects that ultimately reduce reliance on CMS shared systems screen scraping, maintenance for these integrations and allow scalability to leverage APIs throughout WPS functions.Participate in CMS cloud sessions, provide WPS recommendations on how to approach cloud strategy that leads to WPS Medicare business growth keeping CMS roadmap in mind.Collaborate with Medicare security lead in future solutions architecting and roadmap for WPS GHADevelop technical strategy documentation to support exciting impactful initiatives with coordination of IT, Business, and Architecture teams.Liaison with Shared Services counterparts to ensure a common understanding of organizational frameworks.Minimum QualificationsLived in the United States the past 3 of 5 years and be able to pass required background checks.Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent post-high school and/or related work experience.2 or more years of related work experience.Preferred Qualifications:5 or more years of related work experience within the technical domains.Deep experience in the design and build-out of technology solutions.Cloud certifications (AWS preferred).Understanding of healthcare payer markets and trends.Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis, business, or a related field of study.A strong change mindset, flexibility, and openness to suggestions on how this role will evolve and grow in our environment.Working knowledge of agile/scrum frameworks .Medicare Administrative Contractor experience - MAC ARS, Multi-layered software architecture (Presentation layer, Application layer, Data layer).Salary Range$120,000 ~ $140,000The base pay offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and may fall outside of this range.Work LocationWe are a remote-first organization and offer remote work in the following approved states:Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, WisconsinRemote Work RequirementsHigh-speed cable or fiber internetMinimum of 10 Mbps downstream and at least 1 Mbps upstream internet connection (can be checked at review Remote Worker FAQs for additional informationBenefitsRemote and hybrid work options availablePerformance bonus and/or merit increase opportunities401(k) with dollar-per-dollar match up to 6% of salary (100% vested immediately)Competitive paid time offHealth insurance, dental insurance, and telehealth services start DAY 1Employee Resource GroupsProfessional and Leadership Development ProgramsReview additional benefits: (
