**Job Description**
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for executing value-driven activities to support strategic channels. This role works to identify sales leads, promote products, and finalize sales to meet financial objectives for strategic accounts. **Responsibilities**
* Responsible for all business activities in a defined territory/region and is the face of Bridgestone in the field to our customers.
* Focuses on maintaining and expanding strong business relationships in order to achieve the goals of Growing Volume, Profit, and Share.
* Works directly with Distributors, Car Dealerships, OEM Regional Business Centers/Field Personnel, and various Business Partners including AMI and MSXI.
* Acts as the Car Dealer Channel SME in the field and assists in giving direction to and supporting the Bridgestone CAR field team.
* Delivers direct market intelligence feedback to HQ, acting as the eyes and ears of Bridgestone in the field.
* Relies on in-depth product and program knowledge to build brand advocates in the market
* Has a working understanding of how the car dealerships OEM parts incentive program works, and how tire sales impact the dealers profitability and service retention.
* Utilizes Salesforce in order to track progress, and to guide/give a roadmap to other Teammates on what a required Car Dealer call looks like
* Focuses on markets where we are under-indexed/have low share volume
* Has previous sales field/automotive industry/car dealership experience
* Offing Product, Program, and Marketing training to distributors and car dealerships

**Qualifications**
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelors degree; or 3 years and a masters degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience **Employee Type**
