Global manufacturing company is looking to hire a Logistics Operations Manager to assist with day to day operations for import and domestic duties. Working with logistic partners and vendors to deliver goods as well as balance needs. This role requires 3-5 years of Logistics experience and any type of customs or compliance exposure. Requires experience collaborating with internal teams and transportation partners, SAP and load planning. Hybrid work environment, three days in office located in Naperville. Great work life balance, benefits after 60 days. Pays up to $90K based on experience.
Job Duties:
- Logistics operations and customs compliance for assigned import and/or domestic operations
- Logistics loading planning for assigned ports, warehouses, mills, overseas containers and/or break bulk vessels
- Effective shipment follow-up and expediting to ensure on time delivery
- Develop vendor operations to help improve business processes and increase efficiencies
- Internal communication and collaboration with other teams and departments
- Ongoing reconciliation of inventory
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Between 3-5 years logistics experience
- Knowledge related to customs and compliance
- Shipping documentation and customs paperwork
- Logistics KPIs, planning knowledge and CTPAT certification
