**YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES**
* Drives local truck to transport materials in liquid or packaged form to and from specified destinations, such as plants, offices or within industrial yards.
* Verifies load against shipping papers.
* Drives truck to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and roads in area.
* Prepares receipts for load pick-up.
* Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations.
* Assists in unloading and loading trucks.
* Inspects truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.
* Responsible to perform pre-trip, post-trip and in transit inspections.
* Responsible for insuring proper placarding of assigned vehicles.
* Expected to understand the applicable procedures in the delivery process.
* Has responsibility for the quality aspects of the job.
* Responsible for final inspection and approval for outbound shipments (local only).
* Reports customer complaints in association with the delivery process.
* Has the ability to initiate Corrective Action Requests and Preventive Action Requests.
* Responsibility to initiate action to prevent the of any non-conformities relating to product, process and quality system.
* Responsibility to identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system.
* Responsibility to initiate, recommend or provide solutions to problems in this area.
**YOUR PROFILE**
Must have a valid Commercial Drivers License with HAZMAT and tanker endorsements, and 3 years applicable driving experience.
Must have an acceptable driving record
High School Diploma or GED
Strong communication skills.
Ability to maintain a good safety and attendance record.
Willingness to accept overtime (both scheduled and impromptu), to be subject to and available for call-in, and to work other shifts as needed to meet customer needs.
