Why This Job BOOKKEEPER / OFFICE MANAGER

This Colorado based lighting manufacturer and distributor works within the energy efficiency sector and is growing year over year. They re seeking an experienced Bookkeeper who can handle all accounting including AP, AR, payroll and job costing. In addition, this person will manage all administrative tasks such as booking travel arrangements and planning networking events. This business operates heavily off of checklists and systematic processes so you must be able to follow suit and take ownership of tasks and projects with very little oversight. The ideal candidate would be adaptable, communicative, and proactive!

What You ll Actually Do:

  • Full-charge Bookkeeping including all AP, AR, and billing for a GC
  • Detailed job cost accounting for all projects
  • Inventory accounting and PO reconciliation
  • Process credit cards and ACH payments
  • Handle all client communication promptly, including email requests and client follow up calls
  • Manage all billing in QuickBooks
  • Manage all aspects of travel for owner and engineers including booking travel, organizing meetings, and more


To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:

  • A minimum of 10 years of full-charge bookkeeping experience within the construction industry (GC or sub-contractors)
  • Strong QuickBooks knowledge
  • Strong systems experience and a high-level of organization
  • Microsoft Excel (pivot tables & vlookups)
  • Bachelors Degree highly preferred
  • A knack for system automation and process improvement as it relates to QuickBooks


It Would Be Brilliant If You Also Have

  • Start up experience
  • Prior remote work experience


Where and How Much:

  • 100% remote (Mountain time zone, Colorado preferred)
  • $32-$35 per hour depending on experience
