Caregivers working in Sally's House are caring for children in emergency situations for children 2 to 12 years of age that are removed from their home due to abuse, neglect, abandonment, or criminal activity. They provide a caring, safe, and loving home for up to 20 children at one time. EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: Must have a high school diploma or GED Have at least one year of successful experience working with children KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Be at least twenty-one years old Have the skills and abilities to work successfully with the challenging behaviors of children in care Have effective communication and problem-solving skills Be able to pass a DSHS criminal background check and a Salvation Army Child Safety background check Be free from communicable diseases as indicated by a TB screening Be emotionally mature and stable in order to provide consistency, structure, and nurturing CPR/ First Aid training Blood borne pathogen/ HIV training De-escalation and rest...Caregiver, Retail, Healthcare, Training, Insurance, Children
