Job Details

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:

Provide support & troubleshoot all desktop/server/network related problems from assessment to resolution, including onsite Technical Support, to assist end users in operations and use of AV and Computer equipment. This includes all computers and associated peripherals, projectors, screens, control systems, video conferencing, and interactive boards. There are also occasional small staging and event set ups, which could include livestreaming, to include external microphones, mixing boards, laptops, speakers, portable screens, pipe and drapes.

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

1. High-School Diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

1. Must have experience with: Microsoft Office Suite, email systems, network environments, and Windows based operation systems, and Mobile based hand-held devices.

SKILLS:

1. Exceptional internal and external customer service skills.

2. Strong attention to detail and deductive reasoning skills.

3. Strong documentation skills.

4. Good communication skills - written, verbal (phone and face-to-face).

5. Good organizational skills.

6. Experience using helpdesk ticketing systems.

7. Knowledge and experience with AV equipment in meeting/conference room formats.

8. Computer skills to include setup with AV equipment with both PC and laptops.

9. Good AV and computer problem solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

1. Associate's degree in a computer-related field.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:

1. CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification.

EXPERIENCE:

1. 1 to 2 years technical experience.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Reimage PCs/Macs and install and configure them as directed by Senior Technicians.

2. Closing and/or Open trouble tickets, while following proper guided protocols.

3. Maintain records/inventory related to Computer equipment (PC/MACs) including procuring

the use of licenses/registration.

4. Ensure equipment is in working order and proper placement.

5. Provide AV Support to Electronic classrooms and conference rooms as needed or

requested.

6. Assist with ongoing documentation of processes and procedures.

7. Maintain inventory list of equipment and security of said equipment.

8. Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on all AV and Computer

equipment.

9. Quickly adapting to new processes and procedures in a fast-paced environment.

10. Diagnostics and troubleshooting of AV/Computer equipment and installations.

11. Assist Installation and Service on replacement of consumables such as projector lamps,

amps and other AV equipment.

12. Assist Installation and Service on replacement of Computer equipment.

13. Provide back up for Electronic/Smart Board classrooms, Computer Labs, and

Conference/Events Services and related tasks associated with said locations.

14. Setup and configure computers for new or existing users, with custom configurations, the

reporting those assets post-installation.

15. Assist in the Performing Arts center on events or tasks as needed.

16. Deliver any Audio-Visual requests that are pre-scheduled or as needed.

17. Conveying technical issues and material to non-technical people.

18. Must be able to lift up to 30-40 pounds, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, climb, reach, pull,

push, grasp, lift and stand for periods of time.
