Job Description:

The Fixture Warehouse Associate role at OSJL is responsible for performing a range of duties to meet the needs of new and remodeled stores throughout the OSJL chain. This role must have the ability to work independently, assisting and training fellow associates in the set up and tear down of new and old stores and on fixturing and merchandise processes and procedures. All store planning associates work as a team in the remodel of existing stores and the execution of smaller projects in stores across the chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing Put-a-ways, Replenishments, Pull Combines, Transfers, Consolidations, and all related Stacking/Picking functions.
  • Use RF scanner to maintain inventory and sort merchandise.
  • Distinguish different kinds of merchandise to verify case-pack and description.
  • Load and unload trucks, working overhead.
  • Operate manual and electric pallet jacks, both walk-behind and rider jacks.
  • Physically distribute cases of merchandise onto store pallets in accordance with Company-established standard operating procedures, achieving established productivity, safety, and quality standards; transport store-ready pallets to staging areas or onto trailers.
  • Prepare orders as directed in accurate quantities.
  • Safely and accurately locate, add, or remove product in warehouse racking.
  • Properly build pallets of merchandise and transport pallets to shipping, staging, or wrap machine.
  • Inspect equipment on a daily basis to ensure it is in proper condition.
  • Display product on shelves and on the sales floor in accordance with established procedures.
  • Operate, scissor lift, forklift picker, and stacker/ reach truck as needed.
  • Set and operate a ticket gun to effectively price items.
  • Utilize box cutter and related safety equipment.
  • Transport fixtures and merchandise throughout the warehouse using electric pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and walkie stackers.
  • Work in compliance with Company-established standard operating procedures and OSHA requirements. Adhere to established standards of productivity, cleanliness, quality and accuracy.
  • Accurately complete weekly time and travel reporting.
  • As needed, participate in the new store build or remodel process:
  • Lead, teach, train and follow up to successes and opportunities of assigned store associates..
  • Ability to assist with projects requiringan overnight stay.
  • Implement all planograms, plan-o-guides, and visuals as assigned.
  • Participate in the operation and merchandising of the entire store.
  • Assist in the remodeling or modeling of store locations by stocking shelves.
Qualifications:
  • Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, clean driving record, and automobile insurance.
  • Licensed on the operation of various electric pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and walkie stackers, or have theability to obtain licensing within the first 90 days through Company-provided training.
  • Ability to frequently move merchandise weighing up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to ascend and descend ladders up to 20 feet.
  • Ability to use fine motor skills to operate power tools.
  • Ability to remain stationary for the majority of a shift.
  • Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing.
Work Environment:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, or electrical components. The noise level in the work environment varies.
  • Environment ranges from the construction phase of a new store building to updating an open store, remodeling a location, or helping existing open stores.

The hourly pay rate for this position is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour. Salary depends on years of experience.
