Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Warehouse Systems- GA is looking for a Material Handler to add to our team. An ideal candidate will focus on safety, be a team player, and find ways to be improve efficiency and safety.
- Enforces all company safety policies and procedures to ensure efficient, effective, and safe shipping operations.
- Unload materials and finished goods from incoming trucks and stack them in assigned areas
- Locate and move stock to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
- Transport raw materials to production workstations
- Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
- Other Duties as Assigned
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications: - High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 6 months forklift experience
- Forklift Certification within 90 days of job entry date
- Ability to stand for eight hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications: - Prior manufacturing experience.
- 2-3 years of Forklift Operating Experience
