Scope of Position

The Department of Marketing, Communications and Digital Strategy is responsible for the overall brand management for the entire Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, The James, and College of Medicine. This marketing consultant position sits within the Growth Marketing and Reputation Strategy Team for the department and has the main responsibility for supporting and advancing the health system's talent acquisition goals, including staffing the New Hospital Tower, through staff and physician recruitment marketing initiatives.

Position Summary

The Recruitment Marketing and Communications Consultant position works closely with the Senior Marketing Consultant, Senior Marketing Director, and the Talent Acquisition Team to provide strategic marketing and communications support with a specific focus on driving applicant volume to critical job openings and enhancing the health system's employment brand. The Marketing Consultant will assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of brand, communication, and marketing initiatives to support the assigned areas needing recruitment marketing. They are a brand champion and will assist in the creation of marketing plans, creative briefs, event materials and marketing tactics. The person should be a great collaborator who is able to build and maintain relationships both with clients and within the department. The individual must be able to handle multiple projects, be comfortable with change and provide creative solutions to leverage marketing and digital channels to support the health system's talent acquisition needs.

* This is a two-year term position.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related area. Minimum of 3 years professional experience.
