Job Overview

As an Instrument Technician, you will be crucial in ensuring that all physical plant equipment is maintained, repaired, and replaced safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, service, and preventative maintenance of plant equipment, allowing for continuous operation.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all safety rules and protocols, including the execution of job hazard analysis prior to every job.
  • Conduct installation, repair, and maintenance of all process control systems, analyzing systems, and electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and correct malfunctioning instruments and electrical systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, control valves, and instruments using various diagnostic and testing tools.
  • Input accurate findings and maintenance records in the CMMS for equipment history tracking.
  • Install and maintain control systems, particularly Yokogawa systems, and utilize PiVision for performance evaluations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are in accordance with company standards.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within chemical manufacturing or refinery settings.
  • High school diploma or GED; further education in Electrical fields preferred.
  • Proficient with general computer software and specific knowledge of PLCs and related equipment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems quickly and accurately.

Must be willing to adhere to strict safety protocols, including the use of approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
