Inventory Management Associate

TCI has an immediate need for a Inventory Management Associate in Melbourne, FL (no remote). This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the possibility of hire. SUMMARY


The Inventory Management Associate will be responsible for creating and tracking equipment shipments to and from customer sites. Supports RMA returns, spares inventories, parts management, and audits, plus general shipping for the team.


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Generates a variety of standard reports.
  • Manage quarterly spares audits within defined schedules.
  • Support / manage local shipping needs for various program needs.
  • Coordinate/organize/track shipping and receiving within the program.
  • Ship equipment utilizing company s software to support customer requirements.
  • May require support during off-hours and overtime.
  • Within parameters, determines routing and arrangements for shipments, considering such factors as nature of items being shipped, method of handling, size, urgency, and cost.
  • Prepares and maintains records of products shipped and tracks shipments.
  • Receives incoming materials, unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices.
  • Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications.
  • Maintains records of received goods, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents.
  • Stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
  • Lifts heavy items and may operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks upon receipt of internal certification.
  • May perform wood shop functions such as operating power saws and nail guns in building skids and crates.


REQUIREMENTS


  • Requires either High School Diploma and 4+ years of prior relevant experience OR an Associates Degree with 1+ years of prior related experience.
  • Experience with an inventory management system.
  • Experience with MS Office tools (primarily Excel).
  • Excel proficient (Vlookups & Pivot Tables).
  • Attention to detail (Detail oriented environment).
  • Work in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
  • Ability to identify problems and issues in straightforward situations and escalates issues to supervisor for resolution if necessary.
  • MS Access experience is desired (not required).
  • Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
