**Job Function**: As the Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO)Apprentice (CPSO-A), assists the CPSOJourneyman (CPSO-J) responsible for program security management, day-to-day security operations, physical security standards and accreditations, personnel security and administrative security tasks for the Special Access Program section. With general supervision, processes Program Access Requests (PAR) and other personnel security actions, provides office security management, visitor control, Security Education Training and Awareness and other related clerical duties. Establishes and maintains personnel security files for all supported personnel. Assist in monitoring and updating all security databases for tracking personnel security clearances and accesses. Prepares, send, and receive visitor certifications. Prepares, send and receive facsimiles in support of the organizations security section. Coordinates indoctrination briefings and debriefings for *SAP* accesses and prepare appropriate paperwork, which includes temporary accesses for meetings, conferences, exercises and/or contingencies. When required, interface with external agencies and customers on security related matters at the direction of the CPSO-J. Purge files monthly to eliminate outdated material. Scan material and personnel records into digital form and organize them into a computer database. Prepare access list for working groups and conferences. Assists the CPSO-J in the preparation for, and conduct of, staff assistance visits, security reviews and inspections. Maintains control and accountability of *SAP* information; track, ship, and account for *SAP* information which includes facsimiles; manage all couriers; control reproduction and destruction of *SAP* information, which includes filing and retrieving, and preventing documents and/or media from exiting the SAPF without approval. This is a developmental position, a successful candidate will enter the PSO Career Pathway, endeavoring to advance from PSO-A to PSO-J and beyond. Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. 1 to 3 years of broad general security experience. Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work.

ManTech is currently searching for a Program Security OfficerApprentice in support of our government customer.

This position is in support of Special Access Programs, a successful candidate must have U.S. Citizenship and an Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility. Additionally, this position is nominative; therefore, a successful applicant must apply for, and be granted, SCI and *SAP* access. The PSOApprentice is capable, with general supervision, of assisting with the development and implementation of a multi-disciplined security program for complex, major acquisition *SAP* efforts. Candidate must have a basic knowledge of personnel, industrial, physical, IT/IA, and information security disciplines. Strong writing ability.

*The responsibilities may include:*

Assist the CPSO-J with all facets of program security management in support of *SAP* initiatives, to include personnel, physical, information, industrial, and SCI security.

Assist the preparation for, and conduct of, security oversight inspections

Ensure facility compliance with all policies and directives

Provide *SAP* and SCI security guidance and oversight to defense contractors

Assist in the development of security plans and procedures for safeguarding classified information

Present indoctrination, debrief, and refresher training for program briefed personnel regarding obligations to protest classified information

Coordinate tests, inspections, repairs of program facilities (including IDS/AEC)

Attend program meetings as a designated security representative on behalf of the CPSO-J

Provide security support at program working groups/conferences

Assist in the preparation of CUAs, MOUs, and MOAs for resident non-MDA SAPs for review and approval; assist in the development and maintenance of SAP documentation

Assist in the preparation of SOPs

Ensure proper handling and marking of classified materials

Inventory and label all existing media within facility

Prepare documents for receiving packaging, shipping and secure transmissions

Maintenance of DOD required office files, to include destruction program materials, secure fax operations, *SAP* courier duties

Perform Program Indoctrinations and debriefings, to include. Review PARs and respective templates, create, coordinate and track all PARs within JADE

Verify Program Access Rosters

Assist in the management of the Security Awareness and Education program; provide support to reviews of inspection results to correlate training products and priorities

Control visitor ingress/egress, answer phones, escort visitors; on behalf of the CPSO-J, interface with senior level government and corporate officials and their staffs

Coordinate conference room meetings

Perform general clerical duties as required

*Position Requirements:*

Has basic knowledge of personnel, industrial, physical, IT/IA, and information security disciplines. Has 1-3 years of broad general security experience

Strong writing ability

BS/BA or AAS in related field or a combination of education, training and experience beyond this baseline

Periodic travel is required for both CONUS and OCONUS locations. Some travel may exceed 60 days per occurrence
