Description:
This is day shift patient registration position at a receptionist desk for the Outpatient Rehab in the Healthplex located on Dixie Highway, Rio Vista Physical Therapy at 12 Southwest St., Fort Lauderdale, and the Coral Springs or Pompano facilities. There are 8-hour shifts during hours of operation.
Hours of operation: 6:30a to 6:30p Monday-Friday and Saturday 8a-1p or 8a-3p depending on the need.
What you will do:
- Register patients by obtaining necessary and accurate financial and demographic information.
- Receive, investigate and respond to various inquiries and questions in a pleasant and helpful manner.
- Determine the financial status of the patient and or guarantor and complete all financial/insurance related functions and signatures.
- Communicate with third party payors, obtain insurance benefits and obtain insurance authorizations.
- Collect money due from patient at admission, or in ER setting, prior to discharge.
- Complete all necessary reports.
- Communicate with Case Management, Patient Financial Services and Self/Pay/Medicaid eligibility Team and all other departments when appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED required
- Associate's degree preferred or process of obtaining one (preferred)
- Must possess excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
Licensure:
- Certified Patient Account Technician CPAT preferred
