Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

Focus:
- Manage all aspects of shipping and receiving, including scheduling, dispatching, and tracking shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate with vendors to secure optimal terms and monitor service quality and compliance.
- Implement and uphold internal policies and procedures to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure smooth inter-departmental operations and effective communication.
- Analyze logistics data and inventory levels to adjust shipment schedules and minimize operational costs.
- Address and resolve any issues related to shipment delays or discrepancies to maintain operational continuity and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure all shipping and receiving activities comply with industry standards and legal regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of incoming and outgoing shipments, providing reports to management on activity and performance metrics.
- Act as a point of contact for all inquiries and issues related to logistics operations.
- Facilitate Accounts Payable processes related to shipping costs to ensure accurate billing and timely dispute resolution.
- Optimize warehouse layout to streamline handling and storage processes, enhancing efficiency and safety.
Skill Set:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in a logistics or supply chain role, with a strong preference for candidates with direct shipping and receiving experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of logistics principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in logistics software and a strong command of MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience in or understanding of e-commerce logistics processes is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, capable of fostering strong relationships with business partners and internal teams.
