Description
EMIT Technologies is seeking a motivated Material Handler, you will be responsible for the receiving, storing, and distributing of structural steel materials, supplies, and equipment. This role requires the ability to lift heavy loads, operate material handling equipment, and maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Pre shift equipment inspection, and hour log, on computer
- Staging raw material in front of Python robotic coping machine rollers
- Unloading processed material from python and saw
- Staging processed material in organized manner for either manual welding or Beam Master robotic welder
- Loading and unloading material from weld stations and Beam Master
- Staging completed material in pre paint area
- Loading and unloading paint area, either taking outside or palletizing if smaller parts
- Occasionally help yard handlers with tasks outside
- Occasionally help load/unload trucks
Requirements:
- Operate forklift, and combi lifts safely and efficiently, telehandler a plus
- Must follow directions well, and be able to communicate with machine operators and welders
- Some computer knowledge or be able to learn
- Must be able to work well as a team
- Able to complete tasks without constant direction
- Ability to multitask, plan ahead, and manage time to stay organized
- Experience with handling long, heavy material in small areas
- Overhead crane experience is a plus but not required
- Minimum of 2 years forklift or similar experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs individually or 100lbs team lift
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
