IN-GAME PA ANNOUNCING STUDENT EMPLOYEE
Position Summary:
Game Operations plays a vital role for Fire Athletics. Our Game Operations staff is essential in creating the
best possible environment for fans, athletes, coaches, officials, and guests. For this position to operate
effectively, students need to be professional, reliable, and enthusiastic about sports.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing pre-game, in-game, halftime, and post-game public announcements on game days
for multiple sports (Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Baseball, and/or Softball)
Provide announcements and crowd entertainment during game stoppages by playing music and other
entertainment activities
Provide enthusiastic energy to keep the environment lively and fans engaged
Coordinate with Assistant Athletic Director for Game Operations for any specific in-game events or special
announcements
Experience with PA, commentating, or public speaking preferred
Knowledge in competitive sports is preferred
Availability to work evenings and weekends
May be asked to handle a variety of other jobs such as set-up and tear down for events, running concessions,
and others
