Our client, a venture capital backed renewable natural gas company is seeking to hire an exceptional attorney to join their growing legal team. This role will report to the General Counsel and be responsible for a wide array of commercial and corporate work. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience, including at least 1 year in-house, ideally in the renewable energy sector. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing company and gain great exposure to the business. The role is based in Greater Pittsburgh and offers a hybrid office arrangement.
Responsibilities for this role include the following:
-Lead contract negotiation efforts with business partners, including project owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, to achieve contract terms and conditions consistent with standard polices and acceptable risk profiles.
-Analyze, evaluate, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements, including master agreements, lease agreements, purchase agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other similar contracts.
-Collaborate closely with corporate leadership, project managers, purchasing managers and other personnel during the contracting process to achieve business objectives and mitigate risks.
