The Senior Analyst or Associate level position is a newly created opportunity within a leading Baltimore-based Investment Banking and Strategic Corporate Advisory firm. Due to organic growth, this position will work closely with the firm s managing directors and clients in supporting middle-market mergers & acquisitions within a variety of general industry sectors. Open to candidates both at the Senior Analyst or Associate level, this position will offer a highly competitive compensation package including a base salary range between $100,000 and $120,000, an aggressive annual bonus target between 30% to 50% of base salary, full benefits, as well as excellent career mobility and development. Ideal candidates should have 1 to 5 years of professional experience within either M&A advisory, private equity, leveraged finance, commercial lending, or public accounting experience in transactions or deal teams. Candidates must be able to work out of the firm s Baltimore office on a hybrid basis (4 days in office).


Associate Job Description

  • Responsible for working on strategic assignments assisting clients with mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, private placements, and other advisory services.
  • Support deal managers and senior investment bankers in the preparation of financial projections and business valuations, including DCF modeling, comparable company and transaction multiple analyses as well as leveraged buyout analysis and other financial models necessary the transaction process.
  • Perform financial statement analysis, develop Information Memorandums and other marketing documents as well as conduct industry research and company analysis.
  • Prepare appropriate investment memoranda, presentation materials, and marketing materials for investment banking clients and prospects.
  • Work on multiple transactions, business development initiatives and internal projects at any given time
  • Interact with clients on transactional and technical issues.
  • Maintain internal counterparty and financing sources databases.
  • Assist in the identification of and out-reach to buyers and investors.


Associate Job Requirements

  • Degree in business including a preference in accounting or finance.
  • 1-4 plus years of related experience with financial analysis, banking, M&A, auditing, investment banking or a related field
  • Excellent financial modeling and other analytical skills
  • Advanced skill with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work within team environment, entrepreneurial culture, and desire for career mobility and increased responsibility and advancement.
  • Ability to work Monday thru Thursday in company s Baltimore based office
