Great IA Pathology opportunity for Supplemental coverage starting 7/22/24 or
ASAP and ongoing.
Hospital Based
Busy practice with one provider needing some time off.
Schedule: one week/mo.
Shift: Mon. - Fri., 8a-5p and call on weekend nights
Call Ratio: 1:2
Lab holds CAP Certification.
Approx. # of Cases Read per Day: varies by case - approx. 40 Surgical/Cytology
Locum responsibility for Clinical Lab: Clinical Lab-Blood Bank/resolve difficult
antibodies; Hematology - reviewing out of the norm peripheral blood smears
Locum is not responsible for Grossing own specimens.
Nor will they be cutting their own frozen sections on the Cryostat.
Required Procedures:
*Anatomic Pathology - Surgical, GI, GU, Dermatopathology, Cytology, Autopsy
*Clinical Pathology - Hematology, Microbiology, Chemistry/Serology, Blood Bank
*Additional - Attend and give immediate adequacy statements for fine needle aspirations
Group: 1.5 Physicians, 4 Histotechnologists, 1 Pathology Assistant, 2 Cytotechnologists
Locum will be required to supervise other Healthcare Providers.
Other Pathologists will not be present during Locum's coverage.
Cryostat: Leica; Microscope: Olympus
Method of Prep: Surepath
EMR: CoPath
Expenses covered, weekly pay and Occurrence Form Malpractice insurance provided.
