Montecito Bank & Trust is seeking a professional full-time Trust Administrative Specialist II to join our Wealth Management Department. The Trust Administrative Specialist II will deliver a World Class Experience by maintaining client relationships by assisting Trust Administrators with varying aspects of client administration, correspondence, and communication. Position requires professional demeanor in interacting with high-net-worth clients. In-person office work in Santa Barbara, CA is required.

Minimum Requirements, Activities, & Responsibilities

Education & Experience:

  • A college degree preferred, or 2-year associate s degree required
  • A minimum of one to three years of experience in financial services area, or equivalent work experience required
  • Knowledge of trust administration and/or operations preferred
  • General knowledge of basic principles of portfolio investment preferred
  • Ability to pursue completion of Cannon Trust Fundamentals preferred
Essential Functions:
  • Works at the direction of Trust Administrators in the ongoing administration of accounts
  • Develop knowledge of wealth management integrated web based client platforms to access all client activity and holdings in client accounts
  • Responsible for processing checks and distributions such as bill paying, monthly distributions, etc. at direction of Trust Administrators
  • Provides support to operations as necessary
  • Provides clerical support such as filing, answering phones, scheduling meetings
  • Other duties as assigned
Skills & Capabilities:
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to deliver a high quality of personalized client services
  • Proficient in standard computer applications including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Ability to lead by example in a team setting and work independently while performing duties
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities
  • Must be able to demonstrate highest levels of customer service and confidentiality with internal and external customers
