Quality Inspector

A growing, global company specializing in designing, developing, prototyping and manufacturing electronic products and subsystems for aerospace and defense is looking for a Quality Inspector. In this role you will verify products manufactured by Suppliers and manufactured by client are compliant to applicable purchase orders, specifications and drawings.

Salary: $21 - $26/hr(DOE)
This is a Temp-to-hire Position

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional receiving inspection function.
  • Process work orders forwarded from testing / outside services and move them in the ERP system (Cimnet Paradigm).
  • Perform in-process inspections and final inspections.
  • Visually inspect product using a halo lamp or microscope to verify that it meets customer specified drawings, specification requirements and purchase orders.
  • Performed required dimensional testing using micrometers, calipers, pin gages, etc. to verify that it meets customer requirements.
  • Perform required mechanical, optical, coating thickness and electrical testing using the spectrometer, gloss meter, pull strength tester, etc. to verify that product meets customer requirements.
  • Complete rejection/discrepancy reports for identified nonconformances and inform supervisor or manager when products do not meet the specified requirements.
  • Generate customer required reports as stated on the travelers and drawings and retain in a centralized location.
  • Review first article inspection data.
  • Schedule and interface with customer source inspectors.
  • Package product per customer requirements.
  • Scan travelers and certification data packages and file electronically.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent or 5 years of work related experience.
  • Must speak, read and write in English.
  • Must be able to read and interpret specifications (industry and customer) and drawings.
  • Must pass yearly eye examination to meet customer vision requirements.
  • Some computer skills (Word, Excel, email)
  • Good interpersonal, organizational, communication and time management skills with ability to discuss issues with co-workers, customers and auditors.
  • Must be willing to work overtime or flexible hours on short notice.
