Summary
Provides courteous, safe transport of patients and/or supplies throughout the emergency department and facility. Performs other duties as assigned. This position is needed to off load work from nurses.
Responsibilities
- Transports patients, equipment, and/or supplies throughout the emergency department and hospital to ensure items are available when needed for patient care.
- Maintains a safe and germ free environment for all customers.
- Inspects equipment prior to usage to ensure in proper working order.
- Completes assigned goals.
Requirements, Preferences and Experience Education Preferred: HS diploma/GED or higher.
Minimum: Knowledge, skills and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience Preferred: 6 months hospital or customer service experience.
