The P&C Account Manager is the go-to person supporting the Broker team. As the liaison between insurance carriers, agencies, brokers, and clients, you'll wear many hats, from risk assessor to customer service representative. Here's a breakdown of the typical responsibilities:


Client Service and Relationship Building:

  • Being the first point of contact for clients, addressing their questions and concerns about their coverage.
  • Building strong relationships with clients by understanding their businesses and specific needs.
  • Regularly communicating with clients to ensure they're happy with their policies and service.


Policy Management:

  • Analyzing clients' risk exposures and recommending appropriate P&C insurance coverage, experience with wholesale and retail agency brokerage is a plus.
  • Assisting with applications and proposals for new or renewed policies.
  • Negotiating rates and terms with insurance carriers to get clients the best deals.
  • Managing policy changes and endorsements as the client's business needs evolve.


Account Management:

  • Maintaining accurate client records and account information.
  • Ensuring timely renewals and processing them efficiently.
  • Handling billing inquiries and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Monitoring client accounts for potential gaps in coverage and recommending solutions.
  • Staying up to date on industry trends and new insurance products.
  • Contributing to the marketing and sales of new commercial insurance products.
  • Assisting with claims notifications.


Experience and Skills:

  • An associate degree or higher preferred.
  • A P&C license preferred, however, the company will help you obtain a license if necessary.
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and coverages.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
