Dock Worker (4PM Start)

Responsibilities

• Loading, unloading, and staging of freight on motor carriers and in dock facilities.
• Complete and processes appropriate paperwork.
• Ensure all freight paperwork is complete, accurate, legible, and processed timely.
• Perform physical loading, unloading, rearranging, and staging of freight.
• Check shipments received for correct items, counts, packing, crating, and tagging.
• Ensure safe and proper loading of freight within each vehicle (bracing, strapping, labeling freight, etc.) to minimize the possibility of damaged freight.

Requirements

• 6 months prior forklift experience; a combination of applicable work experience or education in a warehouse/dock role will be considered.
• Must be forklift certifiable through Tax-Air's forklift certification program for OSHA compliance.
• Forklift, dock hook, general material handling equipment, banders, calculator, copier, imaging equipment, scanning equipment, etc.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
