Job Description
The Town of Ocean City's Transportation Department is accepting applications for Summer 2024. The Account Clerk performs clerical tasks related to finance record keeping, currency counting, sorting and reconciliation. Retrieves, receives and documents transit vehicle revenue. The Account Clerk should have a working knowledge of basic accounting principles and use of related office equipment.
Work schedule:
- Includes days, weekends and holidays.
Minimum QualificationsPosition Details:- Must communicate effectively both orally and written.
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs, occasionally.
- Ability to perform basic functions in Microsoft Office is required.
- A high school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or three (3) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, and experience
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Hourly rates: $16.88 for new account clerks and $17.22 for returning account clerks (who meet specified requirements)
