Piper Companies is actively seeking a Lab Technician to join a rapidly growing and well-funded startup located in Durham, NC bringing new solutions for cellular heterogeneity in research and clinical space studies. The Lab Technician will help with performing high-throughput laboratory experiments to produce high quality data for their clients.
Responsibilities of the Lab Technician:
- Perform and increase production workflows
- Interact with external manufacturing service providers
- Utilize existing products and solutions to create sequencing libraries.
- Ensure assay performance is efficient by reviewing procedures and SOPs.
- Perform in high-throughput laboratory experiments with 384 well scale.
- Expertise In performing pipetting techniques
Qualifications of the Lab Technician: - 1-2+ years of relevant assay experience
- Hands of experience in conducting nucleic acid quantification assays, including fluorescence and electrophoretic assays
- Experience in high-throughput laboratory experiments (384 well scale)
- Experience in operating Next generation sequencing systems (Illumina)
- Experience with flow cytometry
- Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field
Compensation of the Lab Technician: - Salary: $26/hr
