Description:

Come join the Engineering team at Mt.Sinai Rehab Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England! We are a member of the nationwide Trinity Health family, bringing compassionate care to our communities.

Position Purpose:

Performs variety of duties in basic and advanced repairs, maintenance and alterations to hospital equipment and facilities. Surveys hospital utilities and services recording operating parameters, performs advanced alteration projects.

What you will do:

* Requires knowledge of most hospital systems ie, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, HVAC, medical gases, suction. Performs basic repairs and maintenance on these systems. Performs rounds and repairs of the facilities mechanical and electrical spaces, exterior and various interior areas to ensure function. Must be alert to potential hazards or breakdowns and report such conditions to supervisor.

* Maintains commitment to personal growth and competency.

* Contributes to the safe operation of the Plant and Engineering Department.

* Contributes to the efficient operation of the department.

* Contributes to the effective operations of the hospital by demonstrating dependability in job performance.

Environmental and Working Conditions:

Employee may constantly be exposed to hazardous materials such as chemicals, high temperatures, low temperatures, sudden fluctuation in temperatures, seasonal conditions in outside weather, grease, oil, dust, loud or unpleasant noises, high humidity, wetness, electrical hazards, and burns and frequently be exposed to toxins, cytoxins and poisonous substance.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma. Must be able to read and write English.

Experience: 6 years of comparable trade experience

Licensure: Driver license required.
