Job Description: Scientist or Senior Scientist, Biochemistry
Responsibilities include:
- Work in a highly collaborative team focused on advancing our gene editing platforms.
- Lead biochemical characterization of novel editing systems.
- Contribute to platform development strategy and design/build/test engineered systems.
- Maintain detailed, well-organized, and timely documentation of experiments and data.
- Effectively analyze and present data, and communicate research plans and timelines to the team.

Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, or a related field or B.S./ B.A. with 5+ years of biotech industry experience.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with structure-guided protein/RNA engineering and optimization or high-throughput selection screens.
- Protein or RNA purification and assay development.

- Expertise in purification, biochemical characterization, and engineering of CRISPR-Cas and/or gene-editing enzymes.
- Experience using cryo-electron microscopy for protein structure determination.
- Experience leading protein science teams to meet objectives successfully.
- Expertise in mammalian cell culture.
