B.L. Harbert International is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the International Group in Birmingham, Alabama. The Administrative Assistant provides a full range of administrative support. At a minimum, candidate must work eight hours per day, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

* Provide administrative support for BLHI International Group

* Serve as backup receptionist at front desk

* Collect and distribute mail, personal and company packages.

* Maintain office operations and procedures, type, make copies, answer the telephone, requisition office supplies, and manage office and mail room inventory

* Manage, distribute, and control correspondence

* Assist in redactions of documents

* Edit spreadsheets and input data

* Ensure maintenance of required operations documentation and records, assist with document control

* Responsible for preparation and submission of Time & Attendance records

* Remotely support overseas construction projects

Requirements:

* US Citizen

* Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance

* Minimum High School diploma or GED

* Minimum 2+ years prior clerical or office manager experience

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

* Physical requirements include, but are not limited to: some light lifting may be required (50lbs), walking, standing, sitting, keyboarding, writing and reading

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

* Ability to take initiative and motivate others

* Strong sense of urgency and ability to be timely in performing tasks

Physical Demands:

To perform the duties of this job, the employee must:

* Have the ability to repetitively use hands to grasp, reach above and below with arms, and work overhead

* Have the ability to stoop, bend, walk, kneel, crouch and crawl

* Have the ability to lift, carry and/or move up to 25 lbs. of weight in the form of paper, boxes, files, etc.

* Have the ability to sit for extended periods with occasional standing required

* Possess the manual dexterity to operate office equipment, filing, and perform specialized skills

* Possess a high degree of concentration necessary in a busy office environment

Work Environment:

* Must be able to work in an office environment

* Must have flexibility with hours in order to better accommodate business needs
