Property Accountant Needed for Robbins Property Associates (Needham, MA)

Robbins Property Associates, a dynamic and growing real estate investment and property management company, is seeking a Property Accountant to handle the property accounting for a portfolio of properties. We currently manage 20 multifamily apartment properties and are continually working to expand our portfolio. Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review assigned property financial statements.
  • Prepare workpapers for all balance sheet accounts.
  • Analyze and record monthly accrued expenses.
  • Ensure books are closed accurately and on time each month.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Work with property managers on financial reporting and property accruals.
  • Review budget to actual variance reports.
  • Prepare repair reserve and construction draws.
  • Coordinate lender reporting.
  • Participate in the budgeting process for properties.
  • Assist with annual audits.
  • Assist the CFO and Accounting Manager with special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting (preferred); will consider applicants with an associates degree in accounting and a strong record of relevant experience.
  • Prior property accounting experience helpful (1-3 years) but will also consider recent accounting graduates.
  • Must be a team player, motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
