Job Details

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct routine inspections of the building to identify and address maintenance issues.
  2. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, and building systems.
  3. Repair and maintain plumbing, electrical (120 volt), and HVAC systems.
  4. Possess knowledge of welding for fabrication and repair purposes.
  5. Engage in basic carpentry work for doors, windows, flooring, and other building components.
  6. Assist Mechanics 1, 2, and 3 classifications as required.
  7. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
  8. Collaborate with other departments to address facility-related issues.
  9. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
  10. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  11. Coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs or installations.
  12. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience as a Building Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.
  2. Strong knowledge of welding, basic plumbing, electrical (120 volt), carpentry, and general building maintenance.
  3. Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of maintenance issues.
  4. Experience in assisting Mechanics 1, 2, and 3 classifications.
  5. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  7. Basic computer skills for record-keeping purposes.
  8. Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform manual tasks.
  9. High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
